Consulting

Digital projects come with a lot of decisions. What to build, what not to build, which technology to use, who to work with, where to spend money and where complexity simply isn't worth it.

I help companies make those decisions with more confidence and fewer surprises.

Experience without the agency speak

I've been working on digital projects for more than 20 years, for private companies, one of Switzerland's largest retailers and some of the country's most established digital agencies.

During that time I've worked on websites, apps, platforms, e-commerce, intranets, knowledge bases and plenty of things that don't fit neatly into a category.

That experience helps me look at a project from different angles. I understand the business side, but I can also go deep enough into design, technology and implementation to know where problems are likely to appear later.

When this helps

You might have an idea but aren't sure how to turn it into a realistic project. You might already have an agency or development team and want an experienced second opinion. Or perhaps a project has become complicated and you need someone to help untangle it.

I can support you with defining requirements, challenging concepts, evaluating technical approaches, choosing platforms and partners, reviewing proposals, estimating scope, prioritising features and making sense of difficult trade-offs.

Sometimes building something new makes sense. In other cases, improving what you already have is the better option. And sometimes a project is worth reconsidering before more time and money goes into it.

How I work

I don't come in with a preferred platform, vendor or solution that I need to sell you.

The first step is understanding what you are trying to achieve, what constraints exist and which decisions really matter. From there, we can work through the options together and involve the right specialists where deeper expertise is needed.

I'll tell you when I think an idea is good, and just as openly when I think it is unnecessarily complicated, too expensive or unlikely to work as intended.

I prefer clear recommendations, honest conversations and practical next steps over inflated strategy decks and vague consulting language.

What you get

You get an experienced person who can move comfortably between business, design and technology and help keep the bigger picture in view.

That can mean a clear recommendation before a project starts, ongoing support while it is being built, an independent review before an important decision, or simply someone you can call when you need to make sense of something complicated.

My role is to help you make better decisions and keep the project moving in the right direction.
